Katie Dey’s got a new album coming up on Joy Void records and as exciting as that is, this video for of “unkillable” really summizes what I find so incredible about Katie. There’s a blending of the organic and inorganic that seems to have Borg’d out a new lifeform, and for me it wasn’t really clear until I saw this video. Diving straight into her album asdfasdf is instantly alienating, but still captivating as it refuses to abandon what’s ultimately melody – something I’m constantly perplexed by as “post” is tossed before genres as a disclaimer that you will find nothing to hum along to. At the very least LOOK AT THE BUNNIES!!!
